Highlights

This cycling trip offers you the opportunity to explore the surrounding area for five full days by bike. Each day you have the option of a short or long ride to suit all abilities.

Easily accessible by train from London and situated on the Roman Fosse Way, Moreton-in-Marsh is a charming market town with many 18th century inns and houses. Chipping Campden and Stow-on-the-Wold are steeped in history and were both important market towns for the wool trade in medieval times. All towns have many stores, restaurants and pubs to keep you entertained during your stay.

Moreton in Marsh LOOP


If you have requested bikes they will arrive in the morning and you will be given a brief orientation. You are then free to take one of the circular cycle routes and will back in Moreton-in-Marsh in the late afternoon giving you more time to explore.

Short Option– 28 miles-gentle ride following the Evenlode River and passing through several pretty villages including Kingham, Evenlode and Adlestrop.

Longer option– 38 miles- From Moreton-in-Marsh to Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton via the prehistoric Rollright stone circle and passing through 12 picturesque villages.

From Moreton in Marsh to Chipping Campden


This day you will take a short 17-mile ride to Chipping Campden where you will base yourselves for the next two nights. The tour passes through the pretty villages of Ebrington and Todenham and you have the option of visiting Hidcote Manor Gardens.

Chipping Campden LOOP


Today you will take another circular tour from Chipping Campden where you will return to for your final evening in the town.

Short Option– 8 miles- Ride to Hidcote Gardens and back. One of the most famous english gardens.

Longer option–26 miles- take a nice ride along a disused railway into Straftord-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

From Chipping Campden to Stow on the Wold


Today you will take an easy 17 mile ride from Chipping Campden to Stow-on-the-Wold via Snowshill, Temple Guiting and Broadway Tower. Stow will be your home for your final two nights.

Stow on the World LOOP


Your final day of cycling will be another circular route from Stow-on-the-Wold where you will return for the last night of your stay

Short Option– 13 miles-circuit from Stow on the Wold and passing through the lovely twin villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter via Bourton-on-the-Water.

Longer option–28 miles- loop from Stow to Bourton-on-the-Water via Upper Slaughter and down through the Windrush Valley to the Barringtons and back via the pretty village of Bledington

Finished with a Shimano 24 speed drive train and ergonomically designed Shimano EZ-Fire shift levers the Meteor will offer you miles of stress free riding. Hybrids are perfect for the countrylanes and roads in the Cotswolds.

The E-bikes that we use are Ridgeback Cyclone’s- these have a powerful battery with a charge time of 4 hours and range of 80 miles (128km). The Cyclone has all the bells and whistles you will ever need with the remarkable Shimano STePS system for when you need a little assistance, full mudguards, a 9 speed Shimano Altus gear set up, CST E-Bike specific tyres and a kickstand. The Cotswolds is by nature undulating so if you are worried about the hills we recommend hiring one of our E-bikes and let the bike do the work for you.
