Starting from your base, you’ll head towards the stunning Gorges de la Nesque, a breathtaking route with winding roads carved into the cliffs, offering panoramic views of the canyon and surrounding landscapes. This section is a highlight of the day, blending serenity with adventure.

From there, you’ll approach Mont Ventoux via the Sault ascent, the most scenic and accessible route to the summit. The gradual gradient allows you to fully appreciate the lavender fields, oak forests, and the dramatic transition to the iconic rocky summit as you climb.

PODIUM-DAY - CROSS THE FINISH LINE

Meeting at the starting point and preparation

We’ll meet in the morning near the Tour route at an easily accessible parking area where you can leave your vehicle, located about 30 km from the finish of the day’s stage. We’ll enjoy a breakfast of pastries and coffee to introduce ourselves to our team and explain the day’s program in detail. We will then adjust the bikes to your body type to ensure you're in the best possible condition.

Experience the stage!

Set off to cover the last 30 to 40 kilometers that separate you from the finish of the stage! Our bike guide will be by your side to accompany and advise you throughout the day, while our van guide will stay at the back of the group, allowing everyone to ride at their own pace and call on assistance if needed.

Crossing the finish line

Realize your wildest dreams and cross the finish line as a Tour de France rider! Like the peloton, you’ll enjoy closed roads for the occasion and have an official car escorting you as you pass the finish line of the day’s stage, cheered on by the crowd already gathered along the roads. Feel free to take photos at the finish line to capture this exceptional moment.

You will then have the incredible privilege of standing on the official Tour de France podium, allowing you to keep a memorable souvenir of this unforgettable day.

Passing of the pro riders

You’ll have time to gather your thoughts while waiting for the peloton of the Tour de France to pass by.

Our guides will have prepared an authentic and delicious picnic close to the finish.

You’ll be right next to the race and can imagine what the riders are experiencing at that moment. At the end of the day, you’ll return to the starting point by bike or van, depending on available routes.

Today, you’ll transition from the iconic slopes of Mont Ventoux to the breathtaking landscapes of the Tarentaise Valley in the heart of the French Alps. During the comfortable van transfer, you’ll pass through scenic countryside and mountainous vistas, allowing you to rest and recharge for the Alpine adventures ahead.

Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a short introductory ride of approximately 30 km. This easy-paced loop is designed to stretch your legs and acquaint you with the stunning surroundings of the Tarentaise region. The route features quiet roads and offers spectacular views of the Alpine peaks, setting the tone for the days to come.

Feel free to step outside the start village to witness the grand departure of the publicity caravan.

The Start Village is also the stage for various activities: explore the Tour de France sponsors' stands, participate in contests/lotteries, collect exclusive goodies and taste regional specialties offered at the stands. The atmosphere is lively with musical performances, demonstrations, and occasionally cultural exhibitions highlighting the region hosting the stage.

Today, prepare for one of the most legendary climbs in the Alps: the Col de l'Iseran. Starting from Bourg Saint Maurice, you’ll begin your ascent to the highest paved pass in the Alps at 2,770 meters. This climb is a true test of endurance, as you’ll tackle a challenging 48 km route with breathtaking views at every turn.

The ride takes you through diverse landscapes, from the lush valley of Bourg Saint Maurice to the alpine meadows and high-altitude terrain above Tignes. As you gain elevation, the views become more dramatic, with snow-capped peaks and glaciers surrounding you. The summit of the Col de l'Iseran offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and alpine lakes.
