Cycling in the Baltics - Vilnius to Tallinn

Arrival in Vilnius. You will meet your guide at your hotel.

11:30 am – Meet a minibus driver at the hotel reception (the same minibus will be used to transport a group tour guided by Romas). Load your luggage with BBT tags to the minibus. Transfer by minibus to Užutrakis (35 km/1 hour), get your rental bikes from the driver & start your bike ride. Trakai is a good place for lunch and buying drinking water.

Cycling stage ROLLING ROAD Užutrakis – Trakai – Semeliškės

5:30 pm – transfer by minibus Semeliškės – Kaunas (70 km)

Morning transfer along the Nemunas River to the coast. En route passing 17thC castle of Panemunė. In the afternoon have a picnic lunch (included) followed by a cycle ride to Ventė Horn famous for its bird observatory and the 19thC lighthouse which was used for more than 100 years. After a short bus transfer arrive in Klaipeda, the main seaport of Lithuania, check-in and optional dinner at the hotel. (Cycle ~25 km., bus ~240 km)

Transfer by coach or boat to Nida. En-route enjoying the beautiful view of the Curonian Spit which separates the Baltic Sea from the Curonian Lagoon. Sightseeing around Nida, one of the most beautiful resorts in Lithuania. In the afternoon cycling back to Klaipėda on the Seaside Cycle Route along the Curonian Spit famous for its amber and fine sand beaches. Arrive in Klaipėda, dinner at the hotel or city restaurant (included). (Cycle ~ 55 km, bus ~50 km).

2:30 pm – meet your driver and transfer by minibus

Palanga – Riga (290 km/5.5 hours) with a stop at the Hill of Crosses (departure from car parking lot near the new city stadium & arena, Sporto Str. 3)

When in Riga, unload the bikes from the minibus / bike trailer and park at the hotel.

9:00 am – you may take part at 2-hour sightseeing tour of Riga Old

Free time in RIGA or Cycling stage RIGA – JURMALA SEASIDE RESORT & train back to Riga (~30 min)

09:00 am – meet your driver and transfer by minibus from Riga to Saulkrasti (50 km/1 hr)

Cycling stage GAUJA NATIONAL PARK: Saulkrasti - Ragana - Turaida - Sigulda

Ragana is a good place for lunch.

Distance: 42km (25mi).

Morning transfer to the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa which has preserved all that is best about old Estonia. With little traffic and flat roads Saaremaa provides the perfect rural setting for cycling. Travel on picturesque roads along the Baltic Sea Coast to the village of Angla where the iconic windmills are located. Transfer to Kuressaare, the capital of Saaremaa, check into the hotel for 2 overnight stays in the old town, optional dinner at the hotel.

Distance: 38km (24mi).

Enjoy a day ride across Saaremaa Island’s wild beauty – Sorve Peninsula famous for its lighthouse. Finish the day in Kuressaare, a home to one of the finest preserved medieval Episcopal Castles in the Baltics, dating from 13thC. Optional dinner at the hotel or local restaurant.

Take a morning ride to the Kaali meteorite crater which is listed on the world's giant craters list and it is the rarest nature wonder in Estonia. Transfer by minibus to Tallinn. In the afternoon arrive in Tallinn, check-in at the hotel followed by a guided tour of Tallinn Old Town.
