DAY 1
Day 1: Arrival at Bergerac
Arrive in Bergerac - a large town with good rail access and services fromf Paris or Bordeaux. Transfer to Lalinde (included - village nearby), and settle in your charming 3* hotel. Lalinde was formerly a fortified town. Orientation at 6pm and dinner included follows. (D)

DAY 2: Hike to Tremolat & luxury chateau hotel - 17 km
After breakfast,A quiet scenic walk along the canal to discover the beautiful landscapes of the Perigord and views over the Dordogne River. Walk on the GR6 to Tremolat, where you stay in a beautiful 4* Relais & château hotel. Take some time to discover the stunning gardens or relax in the pool, before enjoying a gastronomic dinner. (B,D)

DAY 3: Hiking to La Bugue, 17 km
A Today, you follow the GR6 that will lead you to Limeuil, «one of the most
beautiful villages of France» with its 12th century church. Your destination is Le
Bugue, and you stay in a charming 3* hotel. Dinner included. To visit today: Limeuil, voted «one of the most beautiful villages of France»; Porte Romane and 18th century house in Le Bugue. (B,D)

DAY 4: Les Eyzies - 16 km
After breakfast, Today's itinerary will take you to the capital of prehistory: Les Eyzies! A quiet walk in the countryside along La Vezere river, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenery, before reaching Les Eyzies. Overnight in a 3* hotel and dinner included. Les Eyzies has many sites worth a lot of your time including the National Museum of Prehistory, the Grotto of Font de Gaume, and smaller pre-hisotry sites. (B,D)

DAY 5: loop walk, Les Eyzies - 11 km
After breakfast Today you can either take the day off to relax or do a loop tour around Les Eyzies. If you choose to walk, the itinerary will take you to the Gorge d'Enfer, located north of Les Eyzies. On this hike, you'll discover the many prehistorical sites of the area, such as the Caves of Grand Roc, L'abri du Poisson and many more. This is a very scenic walk through the forest where you will have several viewpoints over the Vezere river. Return to Les Eyzies and overnight in the same hotel. Dinner included. (B,D)

DAY 6: To Sarlat - 15 km
After breakfast; Walk from Les Eyzies to Marquay through the Vallee de la Beune. This is where many small rivers join the Vezere. Today's walk will also take you to the Roc de Cazelle caves, where prehistoric habitations have been reproduced. Next, you'll reach the Château de Commarque, a 12th century castle located on a rocky outcrop in the valley of the river Beune. At 5:30pm a taxi will meet you in Marquay and transfer you to Sarlat. Overnight in Sarlat and dinner on your own. (B)

DAY 7: Sarlat, Roque Gageac, Beynac- 15 or 18 km
After breakfast, you have a nice loop tour to Beynac. The route will first take you to the village of Vitrac. Then, after walking through the Cingle de Montfort, you'll reach La Roque Gageac, where you can take some time to visit the troglodyte sites. At 5:30pm a taxi transfer will take you back to Sarlat. Overnight in the same hotel, dinner on your own. Includes time at the medieval village of La Roque Gageac, named « one of France's most beautiful villages »; eExotic garden in La Roque Gageac, and the Château de Beynac. (B)
